We are proud to announce our new app on Canadians' Municipal Policy Attitudes! It allows you to explore whether Canadians agree with 40 municipal policy issues. This is the first step in the CMB’s mission to bridge the gap between citizens and local leaders—giving policymakers the latest insights into public opinion while helping Canadians see how their views align with their community. To facilitate a more detailed view of policy agreement, it breaks the public down by location, demographics, and socioeconomic.
The app is designed to strengthen democracy by creating a feedback loop between citizens and local leaders. Want to know how renters vs. homeowners feel about zoning reforms? Or whether young Canadians support bike lanes more than older residents? Now you can check—in seconds.
Future updates will let you:
- Directly compare a demographic group to the general public
- Explore even more policy issues
- Access the latest survey data as it is released
To learn about the questions that were used, see our 2025 Citizen Survey codebook.
